The Epic

This was inspired by a friend who was scoring a Western film. I thought for a genre i've never tried, why not give it a go? Here is what I came up with!
Schroringer's
Boxing Match
Project type: Animatic
Date: April 2024
Location: Boston
This is a short animatic I scored for Brenna Tuffy, a student at Mass Art. The Film is about " A boxer finds herself up against an unusual opponent, the Austrian physicist Schrodinger." For this film, I wanted to capture an 8 bit video game. To achieve this I used an Omnichord plug in and heavy distortion.
Cosmic Crumbs
Project type: Animatic
Date: 05/06/24
Location: Boston
This is a short animatic I scored for Adiva Amir, a student at Mass Art. It's about "A celestial being awakens to find flawed planets resembling marbles around her. Discovering their imperfections, she destroys them one by one, crushing them into celestial powder. With this powder, she crafts celestial cake pops, birthing new planets and life in the universe from the remnants of the old. Thus, a cycle of creation and destruction perpetuates in the cosmos, guided by the hands of this celestial entity." For this film, I tried to capture something suspenseful and fitting for the theme of size and space.
Sweet Deception
Project type: Media
Date: May 2024
Location: Boston
This is a short animatic student film directed by Allison Bailey and scored by me. In "Sweet Deception," a seemingly idyllic café hides a disturbing secret: its customers are actually insects. As the cheerful facade begins to unravel, the audience is drawn into a surreal world where even the cakes are alive and fighting for their freedom. The film delves into themes of complicity and acceptance, portraying a dark underbelly beneath the surface of apparent normalcy. For this film, the director wanted to capture the setting of a cafe, I believed a latin inspired piece would best do the trick!
